Movement, Dance & Continuum

Dance and movement are the language of our bodies. Movement is what we are, it expresses inner truth and brings us from the mind into the heart, into our senses where deep wisdom dwells. Dance is freedom, immediate aliveness, a moving response to the life unfolding inside and outside of us. Learning to trust our bodies and senses, allowing their authentic flow, listening to their rhythm and their spontaneous choreography, opens us to spaces beyond words and the logical mind. In those spaces we can experience greater connection, inspiration, healing and empowerment that can manifest in the dance of our lives.

We can dance because we love to move and shake. We can dance to express what’s inside of us. We can dance as art. We can dance because the music is too good. We can dance to become ecstatic. We can dance to inquire and dive into the inner mysteries of our bodies and we can dance as a prayer. Whatever quality or purpose your movement and dance takes scientists agree that dancing keeps us healthier, smarter and has great beneficial effects on the brain.

“There is a dance only you can do, that exists only in you, here and now, always changing, always true. Are you willing to listen with fascination? If you are, it will deliver you onto the self you have always dreamed you could be. This is a promise.”

Gabrielle Roth

Continuum is a gentle and yet profound and powerful movement modality that connects us to our fluid body, to the experience that all fluids of the body function as one undulating stream of intelligence. It offers a creative approach to self-awareness, healing and the opportunity to expand the experience of the body as an always present resource . Sound and movement bring us in contact with our more subtle inner landscape and the fluid body and initiate a personal flow of movement, an exploration into what unfolds in that moment. Allowing ourselves to be moved from within, listening to that flow and rest, and expanding in that space can connect us to the deeper wisdom of our bodies.

  • "Through Raaji’s facilitation of shamanic trance dance, I discovered the wildness of my connection with spirit. I experienced what it is to be moved instead of doing the moving. Within her container of sacred space I felt safe to explore the expression of my being, no matter its wild form. Through her body flow, I became inspired to listen and learn from the well of wisdom that is my body. I started to allow my body to be the guide on its healing journey, discovering with curiosity all its pleasure"

Why We Dance

To dance is to pray,
to pray is to heal,
to heal is to give,
to give is to live,
to live is to dance
